Free parking will be available on site. Light food and drinks will be provided along with live music.
The attire is business casual, but not required.

ABOUT GETAWAY GROWTH
Our mission is to remove barriers and facilitate access to international travel for underserved youth in the United States. By planning and providing fully-funded trips,
with a combined multidisciplinary and immersive global experience, we offer students an opportunity of a lifetime. In returning home, we hope to open new paths for life and
work along with a mindset of possibility.
We envision a world where any young adult can pursue a greater understanding of the world through experiences and relationships that transcend borders.
SUMMER 2022 PROGRAM IN KENYA | JUNE 19, 2022 – JULY 2, 2022
Getaway Growth combines education and travel to brighten the futures of students from underserved communities. In an era of unprecedented world challenges, underserved communities need help overcoming steep barriers to enriching opportunities such as international travel. They only make up 6.1% of Americans that study abroad and are often shut out. Our organization opens doors to international travel for our youth who may not believe international volunteerism, study abroad, or cultural exchange travel is attainable to them or may not even know it’s available.
In June 2022, we sent our very first cohort on an international trip to Kenya! We provided help by planning and organizing multidisciplinary and immersive experiences, as well as, covering costs for each cohort member’s expenses. On this two-week global adventure, each student developed new skills, participated in cultural exchange, gave back to the local community, and made long-lasting friendships. Truly, a trip of a lifetime!
GETAWAY FOR THE HOLIDAYS- UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER FUNDRAISER | DECEMBER 21, 2022
During our first in-person fundraiser, we had a blast celebrating while playing games to win prizes, enjoying live music, eating delicious food, sharing travel stories, and making new friends.
We had 65 attendees and 45 new donors!
CHARITY BINGO NIGHT | MAY 10, 2022
Our first Charity Bingo Night at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood was wonderful! Bingo winners won amazing prizes and our live auction bidders went home with Ritz Carlton Spa certificates, a 3-month membership to Equinox, and more!
We had a full house, raising $2000 throughout the fabulous night filled with laughter, music, and food with our friends and the local community!
